Mooca Houses
Mooca Houses & Polaroid Champagne People explore the absurdity of appearances and the quiet drama of everyday life. Between architectural memories and fleeting moments, my work observes what’s left in the shadows — the residue of gestures, façades, and moods. The “houses” recall the modest charm of my old neighborhood, while the “champagne people” are those polished ghosts who always seem to be celebrating something. Together, they form a portrait of human comedy — half elegant, half tragic, entirely sincere.
All About PATIÍ
A graduate in Architecture and Urbanism (1997), Patií honed her artistic sensibilities over five years as a student in a studio setting, where she began to explore the intersection of space, form, and color. Once she delved into independent art studies, her work evolved into a unique fusion of architecture and visual art. She created a series of compelling pieces at the MuBE – the Brazilian Museum of Sculpture – where architecture served as both theme and technique, predominantly in acrylics.
Her early works were showcased at MuBE as part of a student exhibition, marking the beginning of an artistic journey that would later include prominent solo and collective displays. Notable exhibitions include Manifestations V: Hybridism at MuBE (Dec 2010–Jan 2011), where she contributed to the exploration of creative crossovers. Her solo exhibition Cities of the Wind at the Infraero Cultural Space, Guarulhos International Airport (Sept–Oct 2011), brought her vision to an international audience, while the Salon 2011 at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris (Dec 2011) placed her work in one of the most prestigious art venues in the world.
Her continued exploration of the human and architectural form was further showcased in The Seven Women collective exhibition at Espaço Paulista de Arte (May–Jun 2012) and the subsequent editions of this powerful theme, culminating in a second presentation at the same venue in May 2015. She also participated in the Pluripolar collective at QAZ Gallery (Jul 2012), and took part in the Carrousel du Louvre - Art Shopping (Nov 2015), an event that further expanded her international reach.
Patií has also exhibited internationally, with solo shows such as Patií aus Brazil at Kultur-Stadl, Germany (Dec 2016–Jan 2017) and Tropical at the same venue (Dec 2019). Her work has transcended geographical boundaries, becoming part of prestigious collections in Brazil, the Netherlands, and private collectors across Europe.
In addition to her exhibitions,Patií was featured in the IX Ovirandô collective at the Consulate General of Brazil in Amsterdam (Nov–Dec 2022), further cementing her presence on the international art scene.
Her artworks continue to resonate in galleries and private collections globally, inviting viewers into a world where architecture, nature, and the human experience converge with bold artistic expression
