Traveling House Project is an ongoing artistic experiment that began when I left one of my small wooden houses—hand-carved from reclaimed wood I find along the way—in one of the busiest corners of Amsterdam Noord. The idea was simple: whoever found it could take it on a trip, but had to leave it again in a public place of their choice, after posting a photo and location on Instagram so we could all travel with it virtually. The little house went far beyond expectations, crossed Europe, somehow reached Latin America, and eventually disappeared somewhere between Bolivia and Argentina. Apparently, even houses can decide to go off-grid.
